SiG

In the context of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics, “SIG” stands for “Special Interest Group.” Special Interest Groups are specific communities within the Academy that focus on particular topics or areas of interest related to optometry and optics. These groups provide a platform for members to engage in discussions, enhance their professional skills, and gain recognition in their respective areas.

Special Interest Groups contribute valuable insights and expertise from diverse fields of study or practice to the Academy. They offer a space for like-minded professionals to connect, collaborate, and exchange knowledge. Only members of the EAOO are eligible to join a Section or SIG.

To join a Section or SIG as a member, individuals can use the provided button and select the Sections/SIGs they wish to be part of. There is no membership fee associated with joining these groups, and members can be part of multiple SIGs simultaneously.
