Your membership in EAOO is an opportunity to help us facilitate the changing face of optometry and optics in Europe by engaging, educating, inspiring and motivating educators, students, researchers and practitioners to achieve the highest level of professional competence and provide the best eye care to their patients.

The “Individual Member” category is open to individuals who are or who have been an optometrist, optician, educator, vision scientist or researcher working in the field of optometry and optics.

Here are the steps to become an Individual member of the EAOO:

1. Fill Out the Membership Form: Complete the membership form available on the EAOO website with your personal details and contact information. Don’t forget to fill out the field asking why you want to become a member of EAOO.

2. Application Review: Your membership application will be sent to the EAOO President for approval.

3. Approval Notification: Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification confirming your approval status. An invoice for your membership fee will be sent to the email address provided in your application.

4. Payment: Pay the membership fee using the payment instructions provided in the invoice.

5. Membership Activation: Upon successful payment, your membership will be officially approved, and you will gain access to the EAOO member portal and resources on the website.

6. Access Granted: Enjoy full access to member-exclusive content, resources, events, and networking opportunities available on the EAOO website. Additionally, as a member, you will have access to special discounted prices for conferences and events organized by EAOO.

An individual who is a student of optometry, optics or vision science, in full time education at an educational organisation that is itself a member of the Academy.

Here are the steps for students to become members of the EAOO:

1. Complete the Student Membership Form: Fill out the student membership form available on the EAOO website with your personal details and contact information.

2. Submit Proof of Student Status: Attach acceptable documents confirming your student status, such as a copy of your valid student identification card, an enrollment certificate or letter from your educational institution, or any official document that verifies your current enrollment status. Send these documents to the admin@eaoo.info email.

3. Application Review: Your student membership application and proof of student status will be reviewed by the EAOO administration team.

4. Approval Notification: Once your student membership application is approved, you will receive a notification confirming your approval status.

5. Access Granted: As a student member, you will enjoy all the benefits of EAOO membership for free. This includes access to member-exclusive content, resources, events, and networking opportunities available on the EAOO website. Additionally, as a member, you will have access to special discounted prices for conferences and events organized by EAOO.
