
Dinah Paritzky
I completed my BSc in Optometry at City University, London in 1986 and received my MCOptom in 1987. I was a practicing optometrist first in England and then in Israel for 10 years. Since 1996 have I been Director of the undergraduate program at the Department of Optometry in Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem (HAC) and senior lecturer in Theoretical Optometry, Clinical Optometry, Visual Optics and Introduction to Patient Care. I am also the academic advisor to the department. I serve on pedagogy committees for the undergraduate degree at two campuses and also for the Master’s degree.
I also serve on the steering committees for undergraduate and graduate Optometry programs. In 2016 I became a Fellow of the European Academy for Optometry and Optics.
I have presented at most of the EAOO conferences and other international conferences in the fields of optometry and education.
I am a member of the Education Committee of the EAOO and also The Communication Committee of the EAOO.
I am a member of the newly formed HAC Committee for Improving Teaching, and I have lectured and given workshops on educational topics around the world.
